Subject: LSPD Investigating O.I.S Incident Involving Detective Rod
Date: April 18, 2024
The Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) is currently investigating an incident involving Detective Antwin Rod, who remains at large following a confrontation at the Idlewood Pizza Stack franchise.
On the day of the incident, Officer's Chapman and Parker were in the process of returning a damaged police vehicle when they noticed Detective Rod engaged in a heated verbal altercation with a civilian, identified as "Giovanni". The officers were due to return to their duties, but were soon alerted to the sound of gunfire emanating from the nearby Pizza Stack.
Upon rushing to the scene, they discovered Giovanni with a gunshot wound to his left arm and Detective Rod aiming his firearm at Officer Parker thereafter. Detective Rod then made his escape, firing additional shots and leaving behind his duty firearm and several bullet casings.
The LSPD is treating this incident with the utmost seriousness and is committed to conducting a thorough and comprehensive investigation. We are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in locating Detective Rod and bringing him to justice. If seen, please do not approach or apprehend and immediately dial 911 for police assistance.
The LSPD would like to reassure the community that we are doing everything in our power to resolve this situation swiftly and safely. We ask for your patience and cooperation during this time.
