Los Santos Police Medals for Bravery
Medal of Valor
The Los Santos Police Department's Medal of Valor is the highest law enforcement medal awarded to officers by the Los Santos Police Department. The Medal of Valor is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of extraordinary bravery or heroism performed in the line of duty at extreme and life-threatening personal risk.
Awarded by the Chief of Police.
Liberty Award
The Liberty Award is a bravery medal for police canines killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. The award, which was inaugurated in 1990, is named after Liberty, a Metropolitan Division K-9 shot and killed in the line of duty. Liberty's handler received the Medal of Valor for the same incident. So far it has only been awarded once in the LSPD's history.

Police Medal for Heroism
The Police Medal for Heroism is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for individual acts of heroism in the line of duty, though not above and beyond the call of duty, as is required for the Medal of Valor. This is the second highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.

Los Santos Police Star
The Police Star is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for performing with exceptional judgment and/or utilizing skillful tactics in order to defuse dangerous and stressful situations. This is the third highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.

Police Life-Saving Medal
The Police Life-Saving Medal is an award for bravery, usually awarded to officers for taking action in order to rescue or attempt the rescue of either a fellow officer or any person from imminent danger. This is the fourth highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.

Los Santos Police Medals for Service
Police Command Distinguished Service Medal
The Los Santos Police Command Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon members of the Command and High Command Team for continual determination and success after serving in Command or High Command for a prolonged period of time. This is the fifth highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.
Awarded by the Chief of Police.
Police Distinguished Service Medal
The Police Distinguished Service Medal is bestowed upon members of the LSPD who distinguish themselves by showing exceptional meritorious service to the City of Los Santos in a duty of great responsibility. To justify this decoration, exceptional performance of duty must be clearly above that normally expected, and contributes to the success of a major command or project. This is the sixth highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.

Police Meritorious Service Medal
The Police Meritorious Service Medal is is bestowed upon members of the LSPD who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity within the Los Santos Police Department. Qualifying service for the award of the medal can be for distinctive meritorious achievement and service, acts of courage involving no voluntary risk of life, or sustained meritorious performance of duty. This is the seventh highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.

Police Meritorious Leadership Medal
The Police Meritorious Leadership Medal is bestowed upon members of the LSPD who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity within the Los Santos Police Department whilst in the leadership of LSPD's officers. Meritorious service or achievement in either dangerous & stressful field situations or administrative non field situations based on sustained performance or specific achievement of a superlative nature. This is the eighth highest honor than an officer can receive from the department.

Community Policing Medal
The Community Policing Medal is bestowed upon officers of the LSPD who continuously show honorable and faithful service to the City of Los Santos. Such service implies the officer distinguishes himself/herself from among his/her fellow officers by their exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity. This is the ninth highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.

Police Public Service Medal
The Los Santos Police Public Service Medal is bestowed upon officers of the LSPD that perform a great public service in any capacity within the Los Santos Police Department. This is the tenth highest honor that an officer can receive from the department.

Purple Heart Service Medal
The Los Santos Police Purple Heart service medal is awarded to officers who sustain a traumatic physical injury as a result of a suspect's actions during an on-duty tactical situation. These can also be awarded posthumously to officers who die in the line of duty as a direct result of a suspect's actions.
Los Santos Police Medals for Firearms Prowess
Police Rifle Cadre Ribbon
Given to any LSPD officer who is qualified to use a Urban Police Rifle (usually a AR-15 variant chambered in .223)
Marksman Award
Given to those who show extreme prowess and skill with a firearm, especially their sidearm in a situation.
Awarded by the Chief of Police.
Sharpshooter Award
Given to those who show extreme prowess and skill with a firearm, most notably a long arm at distance in a situation and typically in a tactical situation.

Los Santos Police Unit Citations
Los Santos Chief of Police Unit Citation
The Los Santos Chief of Police Unit Citation is bestowed upon officers of the LSPD that are members of an LSPD unit that shows gallantry, determination, and esprit de corps in accomplishing its duties under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions.

Los Santos Police Meritorious Unit Citation
The Los Santos Police Meritorious Unit Medal is bestowed upon members of the LSPD that are members of an LSPD unit who have performed noteworthy service in any capacity with the Los Santos Police Department in administrative duties. Meritorious service or achievement are based on sustained performance or specific achievement of a superlative nature.
