General Information
The Los Santos Police Department grants press passes to media organization delegates and freelance journalists or photographers. To be considered for a LSPD issued press pass, an applicant must be an active participant in the media, covering in-person emergency, immediate, or breaking news events, as well as non-emergency public events. These events often involve police and fire lines or other types of restrictions, limitations, or barriers that have been established within the city limits of Los Santos for safety or crowd management purposes.
It's not mandatory to have the Los Santos Police Department's approval to practice journalism in the State of San Andreas. However, possessing an official LSPD press badge could be beneficial when covering police lines (for instance, crime scenes) or official LSPD events.
Applicants are required to submit one or more articles, commentaries, photographs, videos, films, or audio broadcasts that have been published or aired in the three months prior to the badge application, as proof of their active engagement in the media industry.
Once approved for a press badge, media organization delegates and freelance journalists or photographers will receive their credentials from a member of the Public Relations Division.
